Gas Processing

LLP, Kazakhstan Lubricants Refinery focuses on growing processing capacity, transporting gas, and producing energy at its own power plants. To ensure the highest performance of connected petroleum gas consumption, LLP, Kazakhstan Lubricants Refinery uses cutting-edge equipment in all sectors. An integrated system for gathering and utilizing gas must include the processing of related petroleum gas.
The Company’s gas processing plant is a cutting-edge facility capable of producing liquid hydrocarbons and dry stripped gas, both of which are widely used in Russian industry and trade. The plant’s products are of high quality and meet the technical standards set by the state and the Customs Union.

In 2021, LLP, Kazakhstan Lubricants Refinery developed the Gas Processing Division (UPG), which pioneered an integrated approach to gas processing expansion. In 2022, LLP, Kazakhstan Lubricants Refinery shipped 5 million cubic meters of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Dry Stripped Gas, and Natural Gas. LLP, Kazakhstan Lubricants Refinery, accounted for 14% of total gas exports, selling 5 million cubic meters. International gas sales increased by 3% over the previous year to 2 million cubic meters due to increased gas production.

The LLP, Kazakhstan Lubricants Refinery has worked with major gas processing facilities in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation (Tuimazinskoye GPC and Shkapovskoye GPC), the Orenburg area, the Samara region (Otradnenskiy GPP and Neftegorskiy GPP), and the Otradnenskiy GPP and Neftegorskiy GPP regions. Otradnenskiy GPP and Neftegorskiy GPP process associated petroleum gas from Samaraneftegaz’s oil and gas sources and technological hydrocarbons mix from Orenburgneft’s oil and gas fields to produce.

In 2022, Otradnenskiy GPP and Neftegorskiy GPP processed 11.6 million cubic meters of associated petroleum gas (55.5 and 56.1, respectively). The following goods were manufactured: 61.8 mcm of lean dry gas, 57.3 kt of natural gas liquids, 94.3 kt of ethane fraction, and 8.7 kt of technical gas lump sulfur. To improve production efficiency and safety, Otradnenskiy GPP and Neftegorskiy GPP are currently pursuing a program of full technological upgrading and equipment replacement.
